In the Lab created process, the gemstones are grown in controlled environment. The process takes six to twelve months to create a gemstone. The lab created gemstones have the same chemical, optical and physical characteristics as natural gems. This lab created Alexandrite is a 9x7mm oval beauty surrounded by a halo of all-natural earth mined White Zircon gems that look like diamonds. The Zircon also run down the sides of the band. Under UV light, this gem turns into a ruby red color similar to what a natural Alexandrite does. (see second photo)
